PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper device capable of mechanically stopping a traction device so as to prevent a separation of the traction device from the bottom end of a guide rail after installation without disturbing the work of installing the traction device to the guide rail. SOLUTION: An arm 3 is pivotally supported to a bracket 2 of a guide rail 16. A shaft hole 2a, a through hole 2c for raising and holding the arm 3, and a through hole 2b for holding the arm 3 is provided. The arm 3 is provided with a pivotally attached part 3a, a raised portion 3b raised from the pivotally attached portion, and a stop portion 3c refracted from the raised portion. A shaft hole 3d aligns with the shaft hole of the bracket 2 and penetrates pivot shaft 4, a bolt insertion hole 3e penetrating a holding bolt 5 and selectively aligns with the through hole is formed at the pivotally attached portion. At the raised state of the arm 3, the stop portion is located behind the guide rail 16 and rises, thereby permitting the detaching to the guide rail of the traction device 12. When arm 3 is overturned at an abnormally lowered state of the traction device 2, the stop portion is contacted with the bottom surface of them, thereby preventing the blocking the lowering and separation of the traction device 2 from the guide rail to down side.
