PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a connecting conveyer 25 provided on a first conveyer 10 from colliding with a subsequent second conveyer 19 in case that an earthquake or the like occurs. SOLUTION: If the earthquake or the like occurs and a second floor 3 and the first conveyer 10 approach each by a prescribed length in the lengthwise direction, a roller 44 rides over a second inclined section 40c or a second horizontal section 40d through the second inclined section 40c, so that a cam follower 42 rises to push up a piece 35 to be operated. Thus, an engagement hook 33 oscillates counterclockwise in Fig. 1 and disengages from an engagement piece 34. The connecting conveyer 25 rotates clockwise to set its free end in a down condition.
