PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform not only fitting of a lid to a container main body while maintaining sufficient liquid-tightness but also opening of the container main body in a simple manner while utilizing a lug part even if a fitting portion is heat-sealed. SOLUTION: A packaging container consisting of a container main body 10 and a lid 20 with a lid flange 21 to be fitted to a flange of the container main body 10 is designed so that the lid 20 is released by utilizing a lug part formed unitarily with the lid flange 21 on the side of the lid 20. The packaging container is provided with a protrusion consisting of a rising wall 23a, which is formed at a portion adjacent to the lug part of a top cover part 24 constituting the lid 20 and of which both the ends are connectively provided to the lid flange 21, and a slanting surface 23b formed between an upper end of the rising wall 23a and a bottom of an inner wall 21a of the lid flange 21.
