PURPOSE: A flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition and a molded product prepared by using the composition are provided, to improve the flame retardancy and the weather resistance by using both a phenol resin and a polyphenylene ether resin together and to allow the toxic gases not be generated during processing or burning the composition. CONSTITUTION: The flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin; 0.1-100 parts by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin; 0.1-100 parts by weight of a phenol resin represented by the formula 1; and 1-50 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based compound. In the formula 1, R1 is an alkyl group of C1-C34, an aryl group of C1-C34, an aryl group of C1-C34 substituted with an alkyl group, or an O, N, P or S-containing alkyl, aryl or alkyl-substituted aryl group; R2, R3 and R4 are independent each another and are H, an alkyl group of C1-C34, an aryl group of C1-C34, an aryl group of C1-C34 substituted with an alkyl group, or an O, N, P or S-containing alkyl, aryl or alkyl-substituted aryl group; and n is an integer of 1-10,000.
