PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is capable of reducing the influence of an eccentricity occurring in image carrying members of image forming means or its mounting, the eccentricity by the accuracy error of a revolving shaft, etc., and suppressing the deterioration in image quality by misregistration of AC colors. SOLUTION: This image forming device has the plurality of image carrying members and an endless carrying member and forms the images by transferring the images on the plurality of image carrying members onto a transfer material deposited on the endless carrying member or directly transferring the images onto the endless carrying member. The image forming device described above has a drive motor for driving the image carrying members, a helical gear arranged coaxially with the image carrying members, detecting means for detecting the fluctuation in the thrust direction of the helical gear and revolution phase regulating means for discretely regulating the rotating phase of the helical gear in accordance with the information detected by the detecting means. |
