PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of gypsum having a low fluorine content which enables utilization of sulfuric acid obtained in the desulfurization process of a combustion flue gas discharged from a boiler, and production of gypsum having a low fluorine content, and also to provide a production equipment appropriately used for the production process. SOLUTION: This production equipment 20 of gypsum having a low fluorine content is provided with a desulfurization column 21 for desulfurizing a combustion flue gas from a boiler by using a desulfurization means (catalyst bed 25) consisting of active carbon fiber, an oxidation catalyst, etc., a sulfuric acid vessel 22 for storing sulfuric acid which is formed in the desulfurization column 21 and has a low fluorine content, a calcium vessel 23 for storing a calcium salt, and a mixing vessel 24 for storing the sulfuric acid transferred from the sulfuric acid vessel 22 and the calcium salt transferred from the calcium vessel 23 and mixing the sulfuric acid and calcium salt.
