<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solidifying material utilizing oyster shells which is capable of not only saving a cost and preventing environmental pollution but expecting a substitution effect of natural lime as well by manufacturing the lime from the oyster shells as raw materials and manufacturing the solidifying material by using this lime. SOLUTION: This method has a step of removing a salt component by cleaning the oyster shells, a pretreating step of heating the oyster shells to form quicklime and reacting the oyster shells with water to form slaked lime after heating, a step of pulverizing these, a classifying step of disintegrating the pulverized quicklime and slaked lime to a prescribed grain size and a step of reacting at least one of the powder described above, flyash and at least one of blast furnace slag and gypsum and solidifying the same. The oyster shells are recycled and are usable as the construction materials for improving poor grounds, tunnels, filler for caverns of digging of well abandonment, etc. Heavy metals are not contained therein; given and existing resources can be saved; the solidification of the sludge of sewage and waste water is made possible and environmental pollution can be reduced.</p> |
