PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium dioxide-containing UV shielding filter agent excellent in dispersibility and aging stability and to provide a peel apart type color diffusion transfer photographic unit excellent in stain and light resistances and physical properties of films. SOLUTION: The UV shielding filter agent contains 100 mass% particulate titanium dioxide having 1-45 nm average particle diameter of primary particles and 0.1-200 mass% low molecular gelatin having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000-50,000. The color diffusion transfer photographic unit contains the UV shielding filter agent in an image receiving element.
