摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of an air flow sensor by suppressing propagation of pulsation to the air flow sensor in an operating state with increased travel of a throttle valve and a relatively low intake flow rate in a stratified charge combustion range. SOLUTION: An engine comprising a tumble generating means, a fuel injection valve 18 for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber oppositely to a tumble flow, and an injection controlling means is provided with the air flow sensor, the throttle valve and a tumble control valve 27, and is also provided with a tumble controlling means 45. At least in a high load range of a low speed range in a stratified charge combustion range, the tumble control valve 27 is controlled so that an intake opening area under regulation by the tumble control valve 27 is smaller than an intake opening area under regulation by the throttle valve.
