PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for recycling, instead of burning and discarding, specific wood waste containing paraffin which is a petroleum-based combustible substance, generated in artificial drying of wood using paraffin or in processing of wood for imparting weather resistance. SOLUTION: Paraffin-containing wood waste has a combustion calorie higher than that inherent in the wood itself. It may serve as a novel recyclable composite fuel, wherein easily burnable wood is combined with petroleum having a large combustion power. The recycling of this new composite wood waste having a large combustion calory as a fuel should realize an artificial drying apparatus which employs a composite wood waste-based burner using paraffin as a heat medium, as well as reduction of the drying cost. Since the composite wood waste may be burned with conventional general wood wastes, it should realize wood-based biomass generation by improving the combustion efficiency of conventional wood waste-based boilers, downsizing the apparatus scale, etc., or solve the problem of wood waste treatment in the wood processing industry.
