PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face material for structure having a ventilation function and capable of being applied as a bearing material in place of a diagonal brace. SOLUTION: A square opening part 14 surrounded by vertical members such as columns 13 and studs 13' and horizontal members such as beams 12 and ground sills 11 is closed, and nails are driven into the outdoor side faces of the vertical and horizontal members. A proper number of through-holes 5 of proper diameter are provided in the portion of the opening part overlapped with the opening part 14 excluding a band-shaped inclined zone 2 overlapped in all areas on a diagonal connecting relative corner parts 14c and 14c of the opening part 14 to each other.
