摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system which can inject fuel in ultrahigh injection pressure largely higher than that of the conventional art to implement good combustion and exhaust characteristics and increase the degree of freedom of injection patterns, and in which durability of the system is improved. SOLUTION: The fuel injection system 10 has an accumulator 12, and an accumulator injection system is constituted of the accumulator 12, a pressure shut-off valve 20, an injection control oil chamber 22, and an injection control valve 24, with respect to a fuel injection nozzle 14. Downstream of the pressure shut-off valve 22, a booster 26 is arranged to communicate with the fuel injection nozzle and the injection control oil camber 22, and a booster injection system is constituted of the booster 26, a booster control means 28, the injection control oil chamber 22, and the injection control valve 24. By arbitrarily combining the accumulator injection system with the booster injection system and operating them, the fuel can be injected in ultra high injection pressure largely higher than that of the conventional art, and the degree of freedom of injection patterns is increased.
