PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of coordinately moving two overlapping wiper blades so as to not collide and stop during operation. SOLUTION: The wiper device 1 is provided with a first wiper 5 having a first wiper arm 2, a second wiper 9 having a second wiper arm 6 in an overlapping state to the first wiper arm 2, a first assisting force applying means 4 applying a force in a direction contrary to a moving direction when the first wiper arm 2 moves forward and applying a force in a direction the same as a moving direction when the first wiper arm 2 moves backward, and a second assisting force applying means 8 applying a force in a direction contrary to a moving direction when the second wiper arm 6 moves forward and applying a force in a direction the same as a moving direction when the second wiper arm 6 moves backward.
