PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based ink composition excellent in discharge stability, printing quality, setting property and properties corresponding to paper. SOLUTION: This water-based ink composition comprises a coloring agent and water and at least an acetylene alcohol compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1 , R2 and R3 are each hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkylphenyl group which may have branch) and a compound represented by the formula 2a: R-O-(CH2 CH2 O)n -(CH2 CH(CH3 )O)m -H and/or the formula 2b: R-O-(CH2 CH2 O)n -(CH(CH3 )CH2 O)m -H [wherein R is an alkyl group or an alkylphenyl group both of which may have branch; (n) and (m) are each 0-10]. |
