PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication link for constituting an ultra high-speed WDM optical transmission system suitable for an ultra high-speed WDM optical transmission of 40 Gbps/ch or more. SOLUTION: In the optical communication link using an optical transmission line which is formed by combining a positive dispersion optical fiber having a positive dispersion value in a use wavelength band and a negative dispersion optical fiber having a negative dispersion value, the dispersion value of the positive dispersion optical fiber is 5 ps/nm/km to 15 ps/nm/km, and a DPS value obtained by dividing a dispersion value in the wavelength of 1,550 nm of both the positive and negative distribution optical fibers by a distributed gradient is 250 nm or more.
