PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restraint device of such a structure that the lower edge of a roof garnish can separate from the upper edge of a pillar garnish easily when an air bag is developed, while preventing the degradation of an appearance due to the generation of a level difference between the lower edge of the roof garnish and the upper edge of the pillar garnish. SOLUTION: The occupant restraint device C installed on the inside surface of a roof side rail 18 is covered with a roof garnish 47, and a flange 47a provided at the lower edge of the roof garnish 47 is butted to a flange 61a provided at the upper edge of the pillar garnish 61. A plurality of locking pawls 47b protruding downward at the specified spacing from the flange 47a are locked with the rear surface of the flange 61a. Thereby the two garnishes 47 and 61 are located relatively so that the level difference is eliminated, and it is possible to separate the roof garnish 47 easily from the pillar garnish 61 when the air bag 21 is inflated. |
