MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE EXTERIOR MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure capable of accurately installing an exterior member such as a bumper face on an external plate member at a specified position. SOLUTION: A recessed part 15 is formed in a part of the external plate member 11. The recessed part 15 comprises an inner wall 16 tilted slightly downward toward the inside of a body and a bottom wall 17 along the vertical direction. A holding member 30 is fitted to the bottom wall 17. A locking face 31 facing the inner wall 16 and a projected part 43 are formed on the holding member 30. A flange part 12 is provided on the bumper face 12. The flange part 21 is formed in a tapered shape having a thickness gradually decreasing toward the tip end 23 thereof, and comprises a locking hole 25 at a position corresponding to the projected part 43. The flange part 21 is held between the locking face 31 and the inner wall 16, and locked to the locking face 31 by inserting the projected part 43 into the locking hole 25.
