PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic position measuring device for precisely measuring position of an underwater vehicle moving under water at a high speed. SOLUTION: In response to the receipt of a burst signal transmitted from a vessel side through an underwater cable 26, the transmission device 27 of the underwater vehicle 26 transmits the burst signal with the reception time thereof attached thereto to the vessel side, as the transmission time.
