PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning apparatus which quickly separates flocculated material included in waste water and continuously performs cleaning treatment of the waste water. SOLUTION: A solid-liquid separating tank 4 is provided with plural steps of separating tanks 4-1-4-n which constitute a nesting structure. A large number of through-holes 13-1-13-(n-1) are disposed respectively on the peripheries of the respective separating tanks 4-1-4-(n-1) and the pore sizes of the through-holes 13-1-13-(n-1) are set to become smaller by degrees in accordance with the running to the outer side of the nesting structure. Further, drain pipes 16 of siphon type which are equipped with cover pipes 15 are disposed on the respective separating tanks 4-1-4-n. Water to be treated including the flocculated material which is supplied to the solid-liquid separating tank 4 is continuously cleaned by means of filtration action and siphon action at the time of passing the through-holes 13-1-13-(n-1) and is fed to a cleaned water tank 5 as clean water.
