PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for greening artificial ground, through which construction or repair can be easily done and water-retention/drainage can be surely made. SOLUTION: This method for greening artificial ground is so designed that artificial ground 1 on a rooftop or the like is made vegetative through planting turf, trees or the like, wherein a root-proofing sheet 6 is laid on the artificial ground 1, a water-retaining means 7 is set on the root-proofing sheet 6, an outflow-preventive sheet 10 is set on the water-retaining means 7, a rigid mesh sheet 11 is set on the outflow-preventive sheet 10, artificial soil 12 is banked on the mesh sheet 11, and turfs 13 are planted on the artificial soil 12.
