PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new protein useful in screening, etc., of an agonist/an antagonist. SOLUTION: This protein is derived from humans or its salt. A DNA is capable of encoding the protein and a method for determining a ligand to the protein is provided. A method/a kit for screening a compound altering binding properties of the ligand to the protein are provided. The compound obtained by the screening or its salt, etc., are provided. Thereby, the protein derived from the humans or the DNA capable of encoding the same can be used for (1) determining of the ligand to the protein, (2) a prophylactic and/or a therapeutic agents for diseases associated with hypofunction of the protein, (3) screening, etc., of the compound (the agonist, the antagonist, etc.), altering the binding properties of the compound of the protein to the ligand. |
