PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of providing an object image after satisfactory gradation conversion processing by using a constitution for constantly extracting an optimal feature value from the object image. SOLUTION: An area detection means 112 detects the prescribed area (irradiation field area) of the object image (radiograph) and the rotation angle of the prescribed area. An extraction means 113 performs extraction processing of a feature value in a direction vertical to one edge of the prescribed area on the basis of the detection result of the means 112.
