PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metallic pipe by which a straight shape metallic pipe can be formed in an opposite crown form at high accuracy and inexpensively. SOLUTION: In the combination of a columned member 1 and the metallic pipe 2 having a linear expansion coefficient lower than that of the former, the straight shape metallic pipe 2 is inserted into the opposite crown shape columned member 1 and is formed in the opposite crown form by heating at least the columned member 1.
