PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoch-making weeding device capable of readily carrying out weeding, scarcely causing regermination of weeds, sufficiently performing the weeding without the frequent weeding any number of times based on an entirely new idea of killing the weeds without digging up the underground by covering the weeds with soil or mud while pushing the weeds down and carrying out the weeding of a plurality of rows at a time according to a design. SOLUTION: This weeding device is obtained by composing or installing a weeding part 5 composed of a weed pushing down part 3 for pushing away the weeds in the traveling direction of the ground surface or mud surface by traveling the weeding device and a mud sprinkling part 4 for covering the pushed down weeds with soil or mud collected by traveling the weeding device side by side so as to be installed in a self-propelled or a manually traveled traveling body 1 or a traveling part pulled with the traveling body 1.
