<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method of reducing harmful materials in exhaust gas from an internal engine in which a power source is obtained by combusting petroleum based fuel such as gasoline or diesel in the engine. SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas cleaning system for cleaning the exhaust gas from the internal engine driven by the petroleum based fuel, an adsorbing agent obtained by dipping carbon into a combined solution of microorganisms and enzymes to support active ingredients in the combined solution is used as an exhaust gas cleaning filter. The combined solution of the microorganisms and the enzymes in which (a) aerobic microorganisms, (b) anaerobic microorganisms and (c) at least one kind of basidiomycete belonging to Pleurotus ostreatus family are associated and which contains enzymes originating form the metabolite of the microorganisms, is obtained by crushing proteins consisting essentially of the animal proteins, mixing it with grains and yeast to aerobically ferment, incubating the aerobic microorganisms and the basidiomysete and after that, incubating the anaerobic microorganisms in the culture solution.</p> |
