PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter flow scattering preventing mechanism for a mill apparatus capable of preventing content such as a raw ore or the like from flowing backward to overflow even if a large amount of the raw ore is charged in a natural charging type mill apparatus and capable of minimizing the scattering of content such as the raw ore or the like even if the raw ore or the like overflows to the outside of a shell main body part. SOLUTION: A counter flow preventing member 20 is arranged to the whole outer periphery in the vicinity of the end part on the side inserted into the shell main body part 12 of a charging chute 16 and a scattering preventing plate 30 is further arranged to the whole outer periphery of the charging chute 16 at a position leaving a predetermined interval in an outside direction from the receiving port 13 of the shell main body part 12.
