PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker excellent in operability and capable of easily setting a desired cooking menu. SOLUTION: A rice cooker 1 comprises a rice cooking pan 2, a rice cooker body 4 for accommodating the rice cooking pan 2, a heating means (an induction heating coil 7) for heating the rice cooking pan 2, an openable lid 9 attached to the rice cooker body 4 for closing the opening of the rice cooking pan 2, a control panel 14 having a plurality of switches 24 to 32 to be operated by a user, and a control means for controlling the heating means to perform cooking according to a predetermined menu selected out of a plurality of cooking menus through operating a switch. The control panel 14 includes the selection switch 32 dedicated to selecting white rice, which needs to be washed, and wash-free rice, which need not be washed.
