PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively exactly perform dark current correction. SOLUTION: Both of ordinary light and exciting light are turned off (during the time from the time t12 to the time t14) in switching to an ordinary light imaging mode for picking up the image of an intracorporeal tissue by irradiating the intracorporeal tissue with the ordinary light and an exciting light imaging mode of picking up the image of the intracorporeal tissue by irradiating the intracorporeal tissue with the exciting light. The dark current correction is performed by using the data (dark current data) obtained by picking up the image of the intracorporeal tissue in this off time.
