STEAM HOLE SET FOR RICE COOKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent boiling over during the cooking of rice by trapping gruel with the steam hole set provided in the lid of the cooker and realize the providing of moisture keeping functions of cooked rice with the limited number of parts. SOLUTION: In the steam hole set 9 of the rice cooker interposed between the top surface of a cooling body 5 and the undersurface of the lid, the steam hole set 9 is constituted of a gruel trapping case 11, a valve chest member 12 and a moisture reserving valve 13. A release surface making the undersurface of the gruel trapping case 11 is kept in contact with a part containing a steam port 7 installed on the cooling body 5 and a mounting part 19 is provided on the top surface of the gruel trapping case 11 while the valve chest member 12 is mounted on the mounting part 19 and a valve hole 28 in the undersurface of the valve chest member 12 is partially closed with the moisture reserving valve body 13. The outgoing side of the valve chest member 12 is located below the steam port of the lid while an engaging part 32 provided on the top surface of the gruel trapping case 11 is detachably engaged with the undersurface of the lid. The weight of the moisture reserving valve body 13 is selected so as to keep it floating by a steam pressure during the cooking of rice.
