PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine or a washing and drying machine with a convenient detergent dissolving device. SOLUTION: A high-concentration detergent solution generating and supplying means is provided with a detergent throw-in container, a detergent dissolution container, a detergent agitating blade arranged in the bottom of the detergent dissolving container, an agitating motor for driving the detergent agitating blade, and a water supplying solenoid valve for supplying the water to the detergent dissolution container. The detergent throw-in container is provided freely to be slid along an upper edge of the detergent dissolving container and to be drawn into a clothes throw-in port, and provided with a bottom plate to be closed in the drawing condition and to be opened in the pushing condition in the bottom part thereof.
