PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To favorably carry out desired automatic opening control so as to become opening matching with weight of a material to be treated also when regulating lever is kept in a state regulating the opening in minimum without requiring control of energizing force of a spring. SOLUTION: This screening device is constituted so as to change opening of a chaffer sieve by supporting the upper ends of a plurality of chaff lip plates 17A on a sieve case and interlocking and connecting these chaff lip plates 17A to the sieve case in integrally oscillating state, and the screening device is constituted so as to adjust maximum opening of the chaffer sieve by providing a regulating lever 33 for regulating oscillation to large opening side of the chaff lip plate 17A by engagement with a pin 32, and the screening device is constituted so as to automatically change the opening according to weight of a material to be treated by intervening a spring 31 oscillating and energizing the chaffer sieve to closing side. In the screening device, a spring 30 is installed so that the energizing force F is made to act on the pin 32 in a direction nearly perpendicular to the chaff lip plate 17A in a state in which the regulating lever 33 is oscillated at a position maximally controlling the opening.
