PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting guiding tool and a cutting method which minimizes the problem of a conventional technique that there is not a reference point for supporting operation in the case of cutting the surface of a condyle on the outside of a tissue when cutting the surface. SOLUTION: In a method for cutting a knee on the side of a thigh and the cutting guiding tool to be used for the method, the cutting guiding tool 10 has a slot 26 for guiding a blade 58 and structure fitted to this tool 10 and arranged in the outside of the femur of a patient to properly position the tool 10. The tool 10 is used for cutting one or both of condyles at the end of the femur from its center to its side or from its side to its center. In order to cut only one of the condyles without cutting the other in this case, a stylus 64 can be extended across a plane fixing the moving direction of the blade 58 by using an arm member 60. |
