PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome such a problem that when the crop to be reaped and harvested has a short culm, e.g. a red bean culm, sometimes the red bean culm is not precisely delivered to a raking and conveying roller to increase the loss of the head part. SOLUTION: This reaper has a reel device 12, several pairs of raking devices 17 and 17 installed so as to be freely moved in the front and rear direction, the raking and conveying roller device 15, and a conveyor device 16. The reel device 12 is used for lifting up the grain culm, and installed in the front part of a traveling undercarriage 2. The raking device 17 is used for raking the grain culm, has a belt 17a with lugs attached thereto and is installed at the lower side of the reel device 12. The raking and conveying roller device 15 receives the grain culm from a pair of the two raking devices 17 and 17. The one pair of the raking devices 17 and 17 at one side is installed so as to be nearly parallel to the conveyor device 16, and the other pair of the raking devices 17 and 17 is installed so that the conveying end side may be tilted to the side of the delivering port 16c of the conveyor device 16.
