PURPOSE: To obtain the subject product excellent in impact resistance and taste characteristics, also high in low-temperature impact resistance even after heat- treated in can manufacturing process, by blending a specific polyester with a thermoplastic elastomer at specified proportions. CONSTITUTION: This product is obtained by blending (A) a polyester 140-245 deg.C in melting point mainly made up of ethylene terephthalate and/or ethylene isophthalate (pref. an isophthalic acid-copolymerized polyethylene terephthalate) with (B) a thermoplastic elastomer (pref. a styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene copolymer) at the weight ratio (A/B) of (65:35) to (98:2). When the dispersion diameter ratio (average dispersion diameter in the longer direction/average dispersion diameter in the thickness direction) of the component B dispersed in the component A is 4-50, the retort dent disposition of the product is improved, therefore being favorable. The terminal carboxyl group concentration of the component A is pref. <=30 equivalents/ton in terms of the thermal stability, etc., of the final polymer. |
