PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for safely operating a bending device are provided to improve the safety of a worker and workability by precisely detecting a body of the worker. CONSTITUTION: A working table(20) having a predetermined area is installed at one side of a body(10). A moving frame(30) is movably coupled to an upper portion of the body(10). A die and a bending blade(41) are installed on the working table(20) and the moving frame(30), respectively. A plurality of displaying lamps(50) is installed on the moving frame(30). An operating switch(60) and a releasing switch(70) are positioned below the body(10). The moving frame(30) is provided with a fixing bracket(100). A mounting member(110) is movably mounted on the fixing bracket(100). A conveying device including a guide, a roller, and a stop lever is provided to couple the fixing bracket(100) to the mounting member(110).
