PURPOSE: A car door locking device for an elevator is provided to improve safety and prevent accidents by restricting opening of the door securely at power failure, and to lock and unlock the car door with simple and mechanical operation. CONSTITUTION: A car door locking device includes a detection vane(110) arranged in fixing and moving vanes to detect a locking release roller; an operating rod(120) fixed in the middle of the detection vane and inserted to a guide pipe(2a) fixed in a hanger plate(2) with sliding; a spring(160) combined between the detection vane and the guide pipe to elastically support the detection vane; a stopper(130) fastened in a car door frame(1); a fitting piece(121) turned and fitted to the stopper or released in the end of the operating rod; and an operating unit(140) releasing the fitting piece in closing the car door, and turning the fitting rod for locking in opening the car door artificially. The safety is improved by preventing opening of the door with locking in moving the elevator.
