PURPOSE: A method of performing uplink scrambling code synchronization in an advanced asynchronous mobile communication system applied with a USTS(Uplink Synchronous Transmission Scheme) is provided to newly suggest a synchronous maintaining scheme by reassigning a scrambling code, in order to expand an application of a USTS technology, thereby applicable to an environment with a big cell radius. CONSTITUTION: An RNC(30) transmits a measurement control message to a UE(10) through a node B(20)(S501). The UE(10) monitors a moment when a self Tinit_sync value becomes '0', and performs a triggering when the moment comes(S502), then transmits a measurement report message to the node B(20) and the RNC(30)(S503). The RNC(30) determines to control an offset of a scrambling code(S504), and transmits a radio link reconfiguration message to the node B(20)(S505). The node B(20) prepares for reconfiguration of a radio link, and transmits a radio link reconfiguration ready message to the RNC(30)(S506). The RNC(30) transmits a scrambling code whose offsets are increased as 256 chips and a reset Tinit_sync value to the node B(20) and the UE(10)(S507,S508). The UE(10) changes the offsets of the scrambling code for re-control, and resets the Tinit_sync value(S509), then transmits a physical channel reconfiguration complete message to the node B(20) and the RNC(30)(S510).
