PURPOSE: A method for determining a dynamic hand-off threshold value in a mobile communication terminal is provided to previously prevent the degradation environment of a signal quality generated in a hand-off by preventing a reverse effect in which an FER(Frame Error Rate) is considerably increased when determining an add or drop threshold value of an MS(Mobile Station). CONSTITUTION: An MS receiving unit receives pilot signals of a multi-path from a current base station and an adjacent base station, and notifies the strength of the pilot signals to an MS control unit(S101). The MS control unit calculates an add reference value for determining an add threshold value using the sum of all pilot strength in an active set and a candidate pilot strength value(S102). The MS control unit subtracts the add reference value from the sum of all pilot strength in the active set, and determines the add threshold value(S103).
