PURPOSE: A method of providing channel information of a digital TV is provided to offer channel map information and channel program information to a user when a channel is changed so as to help the user to easily select a channel. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs a numerical key through a remote control(S100). When the inputted numerical key is not the channel number a user wants to select, it is judged if another numerical key is inputted within a predetermined first period of time(S120). When the numerical key is not inputted within the first period of time, channel information about the inputted numerical key is received from a channel information module and displayed(S130). When another numerical key is not inputted within a predetermined second period of time(S140), the displayed channel information is eliminated(S170) and the channel corresponding to the numerical key inputted by the user is tuned(S160). |
