PURPOSE: A manual transmission of a vehicle is provided to prevent the generation of noise in the gap of a control shaft, a bushing and a transmission housing and to improve the shifting feeling of a driver by damping the vibration transmitted to a shift lever from the inside of a transmission. CONSTITUTION: A transmission housing(24) is inserted with a lower end portion of a shift lever. A control shaft(26) operates a synchronizer by moving linearly or rotating with response to the transmission of the operating force of the shift lever. A bushing(28) placed between the transmission housing and the control shaft supports the control shaft. A hole(25) is formed in the transmission housing. A vibration damping unit for damping the vibration transmitted to the control shaft from the inside of a transmission is inserted to the hole. The vibration damping unit comprises a case(36), a ball(32) compensating the gap of the control shaft, the bushing and the transmission housing, and an elastic member(34) for making the ball stick to the control shaft.
