PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system that can convert a bar code into an appropriate URL even if the clients of various types of personal computer, portable telephone, digital TV and the like are mixed. SOLUTION: This system has a first URL conversion server, for personal computer, that includes a first bar code-URL conversion table that stores the correspondence between a bar code and a URL for a personal computer in advance and converts a bar code into a URL in response to a request, a second URL conversion server, for portable telephone, that includes a second bar code- URL conversion table that stores the correspondence between a bar code and a URL for a portable telephone in advance and converts a bar code into a URL in response to a request, and a third URL conversion server, for digital TV, that includes a third bar code-URL conversion table that stores the correspondence between a bar code and a URL for a digital TV in advance and converts a bar code into a URL in response to a request. |
