PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost sliding material which has high strength and high toughness and also never generates a crack while sliding. SOLUTION: The sliding material is composed of SiC grain of 0.0003 to 0.005 mm mean grain diameter and, Al2 O3 -based oxide of thinner thickness than the size of SiC grain which is combined therewith. They complement the construction to each other. |
