PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of an organic light emitting element, a display device, and a lighting system using this element by moisture absorption and oxidation. SOLUTION: In this organic light emitting element, at least a first electrode, a light emitting area including an organic material, and a second electrode are successively formed on a substrate. A protective layer having gas barrier performance is formed on the second electrode. |
