PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery that is superior in cycle life characteristics, power characteristics, and capacity characteristics. SOLUTION: The positive electrode for lithium secondary battery is formed with a surface treatment layer containing hydroxide of a coating element, oxyhydroxide of a coating element, oxycarbonate of a coating element, and hydroxycarbonate of a coating element, or a mixture of these on the surface, and has, particularly, excellent high charge and discharge characteristics, power characteristics and cycle life characteristics. And since the manufacturing method of the positive electrode employs a very simple process, a positive electrode having an excellent economical property can be made, and further, mass production is easy. |
