PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of relative position accuracy between a front face side board and a back face side board due to sealing and realize higher definition by further contraction of line pitch. SOLUTION: In sealing a plasma display panel composed of a front face side board with a plurality of main electrodes drawing up lines on an image- forming face arranged so as to generate surface discharge with the adjacent main electrodes as an electrode pair and a back face side board of which discharge space inside the image forming face laid out for each line by a plurality of partition walls arrayed in line direction separated from each other, a process of temporarily processing so that the outer periphery part of the front face board and the back face board are pinched up with strong and weak holding forces.
