PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make modulation potential arbitrarily variable with a command of a liquid crystal controller in scanning gate wiring in the case compensation potential applied to the gate wiring of a liquid crystal panel of a capacitively coupled driving type is modulated. SOLUTION: A D/A(digital/analog) converter 105 generates modulation signals with polarity varied per vertical scanning in off time of a TFT(thin film transistor) based on correction data of a liquid crystal controller 104. A gate driver 103 outputs scanning selection signals to the corresponding source wiring of a liquid crystal panel 101 and simultaneously imparts the modulation signals to the capacitively coupled source wiring.
