PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a can outer shape-inspecting apparatus using a three-plate- type CCD camera for judging whether a can is conforming or not by performing correction and conversion considering the influence of quantum errors and the like with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: For obtaining the color image of a can 2, the visual range of the three-plate-type CCD camera 5 is rotated at least once, and at the same time a color image on the surface of the can is obtained by an image processing apparatus 15. Then, the image processing apparatus 15 decomposes the color image into image data of brightness I, hue H, and chroma S for comparing with the reference pattern for each of H, S and I for each image for judgment. |
