PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a control method for a hybrid vehicle which can control a hybrid vehicle, so as to make sure the traveling drive mainly by a motor near a target position and to reduce noise and avoid the problem of vehicle fumes near a target position, such as a drivers home, etc. SOLUTION: A control device for a hybrid vehicle, which controls the output of an internal combustion engine and an output of a motor, has a present position detecting means which detects a present position of the vehicle and a target position storing means, in which the target position of a vehicle travel is stored. The distance between the present position detected by the present position detecting means and the target position stored in the target position storing means is calculated, and if the distance is shorter than a prescribed value, a drive power command value of the motor is increased in comparison with the drive command value, when the distance is longer than the prescribed value and a drive force command value of the internal combustion engine is reduced. |
