<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a transmission system by which a transmission stream of a high-bit rate can be transmitted by a plurality of transmitters high in versatility but which is low in transmission rate. SOLUTION: In this transmission system for transmitting and receiving digital data, a transmission side has a distributing part for distributing a signal stream of a prescribed high-bit rate to signal streams of n systems of a prescribed low-bit rate, with a time code showing the order of the signal stream attached thereto and outputting the distributed signal streams of the n systems and transmitters of the n systems for transmitting the signal streams of the n systems at respective prescribed low transmission rates; and a receiving side has receivers of the n systems for respectively receiving the signal streams of the n systems transmitted at the prescribed low transmission rates and a reintegrating part for reintegrating the received signal streams of the n systems into the original signal stream of the prescribed high-bit rate, on the basis of the time code attached to the respective signal streams.</p> |
