PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the malfunction of a signal processing part. SOLUTION: In this display device, a discharge lamp 13, an igniter part 7 starting the lighting of the discharge lamp 13 by applying a high voltage to the lamp 13, a lighting device part 8A which is connected to the igniter part 7 and sustains the lighting of the lamp 13 by applying a discharge voltage to the lamp 13, a signal processing part 9 outputting a picture signal responding to an input signal, a picture display part preparing a picture to be projected by using rays of the lamp 13 according to a picture signal from the signal processing part 9 and a power source part 6 supplying power sources to respective parts are housed in a cabinet. In the display device, a part (in the figure, the whole part of the part 7) at least generating the high voltage of the part 7 is separated from the lighting device part 8A from the viewpoint of arrangement constitution and is arranged at a position where is far from the signal processing part 9 and is close to the lamp 13. |
